Wool & Willow Festival
A much-loved arts and crafts festival held at the Minerva Arts Centre, celebrating traditional and contemporary textile and willow work. Visitors can explore exhibitions, watch live craft demonstrations, and take part in hands-on workshops throughout this relaxed, month-long event
Heart of Wales 7s
Welcome to biggest Sport and Music Festival, the Heart of Wales 7s, and now we want to create Wales biggest junior event - The Heart of Wales Challenge. With a variety of sports coupled with awesome entertainment and camping/glamping options on site, we are sure to offer an amazing weekend experience for all ages.
Llanidloes Carnival Day
Llanidloes Carnival has long been a traditional fixture on the summer calendar of the town. Initially started to raise money for Llanidloes hospital in 1932, this is a wonderful community event that everyone can take part in.
Our Queen and her attendants are elected through a public vote and are the centre piece of a fantastic parade through the town, proudly led by Llanidloes Silver Band. The procession is a chance for people to exercise their creative talents, and every year we have a brilliant and very varied display of costumes, floats and lorries. We are always pleased to welcome visiting Queens from other carnivals in the area.
The parade culminates at Kennel Fields at 12.30, but this is only the start of the fun, as the afternoon continues with events, games and competitions on the field. A real family and community event, the carnival is a great celebration of life in Llanidloes.
Royal Welsh Show 2026
One of Europe’s largest agricultural shows, showcasing farming, food, livestock, and rural life. With competitions, displays, and entertainment, it’s a major annual event in the Welsh calendar.
Heart of Wales 7s
The Heart of Wales 7s, originally the Creative Rugby 7s, was born out of the desire to bring a premier party and playing experience to all of Wales.
